Areas of Focus

Agronomy

Agronomy

CAPSJ is dedicated to publishing findings related to all aspects of cannabis-related agronomy include plant genetics and cultivation practices with the goal of aiding in the establishment of evidence-based approaches throughout the cannabis industry. Similarly, cultivation and characterization of psychedelic-related botanicals are of extreme interest to CAPSJ and our readership.

Analytical Testing

Analytical Testing

CAPSJ is interested in publishing and distributing peer-reviewed findings related to all aspects of analytical testing including proficiency testing, method validation, and analytical optimization in the cannabis and psychedelic space.

Extraction

Basic Science

Findings involving the detailed characterization of extracts and/or molecules derived from biomass in the cannabis or psychedelic space are areas of interest for CAPSJ. In the basic science space these studies could include the use of in silico studies, fractionation methods, cell models of or animal models of disease.

Formulation

Botanical Drug Development

Studies examining all aspects of botanical drug development as related to cannabis and psychedelic compounds are of interest in the CAPSJ. Aspects of botanical drug development include (but are not limited to) high throughput drug screening, bioavailability, target optimization, and pharmacokinetics.

Clinical Research

Clinical Research

The ultimate impact of cannabis research is the establishment of the effects of cannabis and cannabis-derived molecules on human physiology and the development of valid therapeutic approaches for human disease. Included in this line of investigation would be efforts to develop therapies for improved health and treatment of disease in pets.

Preclinical Research

Pharmacology

The CAPSJ is actively pursuing the publication of research involving all aspects of pharmacology involving cannabis and psychedelic related molecules.

Preclinical Research

Product Manufacturing

The CAPSJ is interested in publishing a large amount of peer-reviewed research in the product manufacturing realm. The focus of these efforts is to help facilitate the use of evidence-based approaches in all aspects of product manufacturing within the cannabis and psychedelic space.

Preclinical Research

Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy

The CAPSJ is dedicated to publishing peer-reviewed work involving the delivery of psychedelic assisted therapy. These efforts include optimization of set, setting, and integration.
